Infrastructure at scale is complex, our job is to simplify and automate.\n\nWe are seeking a motivated backend software engineer (generalist) who wants to be a part of a fast-paced, startup-like environment.\n\nResponsibilities\n\n• Automate infrastructure maintenance by building control plane and self-service tooling\n• Create best-in-class tools for service teams to monitor their applications’ performance and availability\n• Create automation which enforces best practices\n• Document infrastructure design, implementation, and maintenance processes.\n• Responsible for tier-1 infrastructure, requiring high-availability and resiliency from failure\n• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Kubernetes, networking, infrastructure as code and associated components.\n• Administer and maintain Kubernetes clusters, storage technologies, network architecture, service gateway, Observability tools and associated core platform infrastructure components.\n• Monitor and optimize the performance of our applications on Kubernetes.\n\n\nRequirements\n\n• BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience\n• 5+ years working with at least one of our programming languages (Golang, Python,Java)\n• 3+ years using AWS / cloud technologies\n• High proficiency designing and implementing backend microservices and automation scripting.\n• High proficiency working with Scrum/Agile development methodologies\n• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills\n\n\nNice To Haves\n\n• Experience with networking technologies (DNS, HTTP, AWS Networking) is a plus\n• Experience with Terraform is a plus\n• Experience managing/administering microservice architectures is a plus\n• Experience with networking technologies (DNS, CIDR distribution, VPC peering,HAProxy) is a plus\n• Experience with gRPC, Thrift, and other server-to-server communication protocols. \n• Experience with Infra as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) is a plus\n• Experience managing/administering microservice architectures is a plus\n\n\nOur Tools\n\n• AWS: EKS, CloudFront, ASG/ELB, S3, Route53, VPCs, Security Groups\n• Docker / Kubernetes\n• NGINX / Istio / HAProxy / Service Mesh\n• Terraform / CloudFormation\n• DataDog\n• Golang, Python, and Node\n\n\nCompensation: The base pay range for this position is $111,000-$167,000 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonuses and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of benefits. Base pay is based on market location.
